2023 welcomes the new and improved Lone Peak 7. Altra's best-selling trail shoe is now equipped with a seamless, stitch-less upper that’s lightweight and durable. An upgraded MaxTrac™ outsole offers stickiness and grip underfoot while an Altra EGO™ midsole helps achieve the perfect combination of responsiveness and comfort.

Legendary amongst thru-hikers on the Appalachian trail the Lone Peak is in part responsible for the growing popularity of walkers wearing running shoes rather than boots.

The Loan Peak has a little more cushioning (25mm) than the Superior (21mm), an integrated stone guard for more protection and a grippier outsole for more traction. While it can't be classified as a minimalist (barefoot) shoe because of the cushioning underfoot, it still offers a wide toe box for toes to splay and zero drop (flat with no heel) allowing our feet to function naturally.
