Sizing and Fit Guide

If you're unsure about sizing or fit you're not alone. Barefoot shoes feel different from conventional footwear and finding the right fit often takes a little guidance. That's what we are here for. Read on for more information, or book in for a virtual fitting.

How barefoot fit is different

Barefoot shoes are built around the natural shape and movement of your feet.

  • A wide, foot-shaped toe box lets your toes relax and spread
  • Flexible soles allow your feet to move, bend and feel
  • Fit is personal — it’s about length, width, volume and comfort, not just a number
  • When the fit is right, the shoe should feel almost unnoticeable — secure, but free

Choosing the right size

Measuring your feet is the best place to start when choosing barefoot shoes. It gives you a clear reference point before checking individual size charts.

Once you've measured your feet, you'll find brand specific size charts and fit notes on each product page. We recommend checking these for every shoe as fit can vary between brand and styles.

How to measure your feet

Men's, Women's and Unisex Fits

  • Many barefoot shoes are unisex
  • Men's and Women's usually refer to the fit shape, not who can wear them
  • Customers, especially women, are encouraged to explore all options
  • Men's fit are generally wider

Trying shoes at home

When your shoes arrive, try them on indoors first so you can check the fit before wearing them outside.

Barefoot shoes can feel a little different at first. They are designed to give your toes space and allow your feet to move naturally, so they may look or feel roomier than what you’re used to.

Take a few minutes to walk around the house, adjust the lacing, and let your feet get used to the shape. The short video below explains what to look for when trying them on for the first time.

In store fit

In the shop, we take the time to understand you — not just your size, but how you walk, what you’ll be using your shoes for, and what your feet need.

We’ll look at shape, width and movement, and guide you through different options so you can feel the difference for yourself. Whether it’s for the trail, everyday wear or something more specific, we consider how the shoe will actually be used.

There’s no rush. It’s about finding something that feels right — and works for you over time.
