We’re really proud to be collaborating with Chimney Sheep, a brilliant Cumbrian business based close to the Lake District, who make wonderfully useful products from locally sourced Herdwick sheep wool.
And we’ve found something from them that we think is going to be particularly useful for barefoot shoe wearers – Snug Feet wool insoles.
Made from 100% Herdwick wool, these lovely thick insoles add a warm, cosy layer inside your barefoot shoes and boots – perfect for keeping your feet warmer through the winter without resorting to a heavily insulated shoe.
Herdwick sheep spend their lives out on the Cumbrian fells, producing a naturally coarse, durable wool with fantastic insulating properties. Chimney Sheep collect their wool directly from local farmers, and the Snug Feet insoles are made using waste felt from the production of their famous chimney draught excluders – making use of material that might otherwise go to waste.
Wool is naturally warm, breathable, moisture-regulating and odour resistant, making it a great material to have next to your feet. The insoles start at around 10mm thick, giving them a lovely soft, bouncy feel, then compress and mould to your feet with wear.
They can easily be trimmed to fit your barefoot shoes – simply take out your existing insole, use it as a template and cut the Snug Feet to shape.

Returns Policy
If you’d like to return or exchange an item for any reason, please get in touch with us first by calling 07756 172160 or emailing thewalkinghub@gmail.com.
We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of purchase, provided the item is in perfect condition – unworn, with tags still attached, and in its original packaging.
For high-value items, we strongly recommend using a tracked or recorded delivery service, as we cannot take responsibility for items lost in transit.
If your item was faulty or damaged upon arrival, we’ll happily refund your return postage costs as well.
If you need a different size or style, please return your original item for a refund and place a new order. This helps ensure the new item is reserved and sent out to you as quickly as possible.
Please note that customers are responsible for return shipping costs, except in cases of faulty or damaged goods.

Shipping
The delivery charges for your order are calculated in accordance with our delivery rates as set out on our site, and are shown separately on the order confirmation. Our aim is to despatch your order the next working day. Please note that all despatch and delivery times are approximate. Many products are sent via our approved carrier and must be signed for. The standard delivery within the UK is a 48 hour service usually sent via Royal Mail or Evri, so orders should be with you within 3-4 working days. If any products are damaged on arrival, please notify this to the carrier at the time if possible. Then also please notify us and return in accordance with the information set out below in Exchanges and Returns.
