Possibly the ultimate sock for cold feet.
£50 might sound like a lot for a pair of socks – until you discover what they're made from.
These beautifully soft, thick socks are made with 95% yak wool from the Central Mongolian Steppe, where yaks have evolved to withstand some extraordinarily cold conditions. Their fine insulating wool traps warmth while remaining naturally breathable, creating a remarkable natural fibre that's particularly well suited to keeping feet comfortable in cold weather.
Unlike simply piling on thick synthetic insulation, yak wool is naturally temperature-regulating. It helps hold onto warmth when it's cold without making your feet feel excessively hot and clammy once you start moving.
It's also naturally moisture-wicking and odour-resistant, helping feet stay drier and fresher throughout the day – particularly useful inside winter boots.
Why yak wool?
• Exceptionally warm – a wonderful choice for people who really struggle with cold feet
• Breathable and temperature-regulating – warmth without the stuffiness of many synthetic winter socks
• Incredibly soft – luxurious next to the skin
• Moisture-wicking – helps move moisture away from your feet
• Naturally odour-resistant – ideal for long days, walking and travel
• Highly durable – a hard-working natural fibre as well as a luxurious one
Made in Mongolia in partnership with Asral NGO, using yak wool sourced from the Central Mongolian Steppe.
These aren't your everyday multipack socks. They're a beautifully made piece of cold-weather kit – and a rather special gift for a walker, outdoor lover, or that person who is always complaining about cold feet.
95% yak wool, 5% spandex.
Wash cool and hang dry.
